Introducing Jill Mattern, our newest Pilates teacher!

Jill is a long-time Studio Evolve community member and functional mobility specialist!

We are THRILLED to welcome Jill Mattern, a long-time Studio Evolve community member, to our Pilates teaching team!

Jill first joined Studio Evolve years ago, providing administrative support and customer service. We LOVED the energy, commitment and joy she brought to her work…so when Jill let us know she was pursuing training as a Pilates teacher, we KNEW we had to bring her back onto the team.

And we’re so glad she was excited to come back! “I’m so inspired by Martine’s leadership, as a female business owner who has created unique programs and embodies a holistic perspective on health,” says Jill.

Jill has four years of experience teaching yoga, has pursued advanced training in Yin Yoga, and is certified as a Kripalu Outdoor Mindfulness Guide. She brings a strong foundation in functional anatomy and a calm, soothing presence to her Pilates teaching.

A hiker, mountaineer, and outdoor enthusiast, Jill specializes in helping folks of all fitness levels build functional strength and mobility, so that they can continue to be active and have fun outdoors as they age.

And as a self-identified Time Ninja, she loves working with folks who are BUSY. If you are juggling career and family responsibilities and struggling to find time to take care of yourself, Jill will welcome you in and help you problem-solve - so that you can learn to prioritize your own well-being and resource yourself to show up 100% to your work, your relationships, and your life.

Jill has private session availability on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8am-11am. If you’re new to Studio Evolve, we recommend getting started with a 2 Private Sessions Intro Offer. Click here to sign up!

P.S. The 2 Private Sessions Intro Offer is specifically designed for folks who are new to Pilates - including those who are new to exercise in general.

You’ll meet one-on-one with your teacher twice within one week. Your sessions will be customized to your goals and any injuries or concerns you may have, and then your teacher will recommend a plan for you to continue your practice in a way that actually works for your body, your schedule and your life.

OWNER; SPRE® EDUCATIONAL FOUNDER, PRACTITIONER TRAINER & PRACTITIONER, SHE/HER

Martine enjoys the diverse learning opportunities studio ownership has allowed her. She began her career in the field of movement and bodies as a Pilates Instructor in 1999. Soon after her original Pilates certification, Martine pursued numerous other certifications and sought to bring her client offerings and business acumen to one place in the founding of Studio Evolve, Pilates, Gyrotonic & SPRe® Bodywork.

Along her journey, Martine partnered with Jill Ableson for the development of the SPRe® Practitioner Training Program. Together they have brought the SPRe® Training Curriculum to its current evolution as a licensed Somatic Education Training Program and WA State Vocational Training School.

Working with Martine is both grounding and expansive. She enjoys the practice of energetically, verbally and somatically attuning with and guiding clients. Her use of SPRe® Bodywork, as well as her curiosity and engagement leads to delightful moments of clarity and greater physical comfort for her clients.

Martine feels an essential component to building a strong partnership with her client is a foundation of trust, openness and curiosity. This allows for the safe and supportive exploration of whatever difficult, confusing or conflicting emotional and somatic experiences arise in the journey they take together. Ready to take the first step? Martine is currently seeing SPRe® clients online and in person and looks forward to hearing from you.
