Front desk sales associate
We are seeking a warm, organized, go-getter to join our team - someone who is fully invested in caring for the clients they work with, loves connecting with people and is excited to grow with an established studio that is busier than ever.
This role is up to 30 hrs/week (could be split between 2 Sales Associates) and has real longevity and room to grow. For the right person, this is a long-term position that can expand into a Studio Manager Role over time or identify the parts of the position that are truly in your zone of genius and expand that role as the studio grows. You are a natural organizer and enjoy improving systems to increase efficiency and clarity. You thrive working in a community and will work closely with Martine, Studio Owner.
about studio evolve:
Studio Evolve has been in Seattle’s Wallingford neighborhood since 2006, offering private sessions, small group classes, Gyrotonic and Somatic Bodywork. We’re not a trendy aesthetic-first fitness studio - we’re a shame-free, personalized movement space that works with the natural aging process, not against it.
The things that matter to us as much as great movement instruction are community and self-acceptance. We build real relationships with our clients and team, and we believe that everyone should have the right to feel comfortable in their body. If that resonates with you, you’ll fit right in.
The Role:
You’ll often be the first face our clients see and the person they trust to manage their experience with us - from their first inquiry through years of membership. This role is a combination of sales, customer support and organization, with real responsibility for keeping the studio running smoothly as we grow.
Responsibilities include:
warmly welcome clients and prospects, in person and by phone
proactively engage with clients in studio
make outbound calls to prospects and current clients, not just respond when they reach out
manage client accounts and package details in MindBodyOnline
follow up on new client inquiries and guide them toward getting started
support day-to-day studio operations, scheduling and instructor coordination
assist with marketing and newsletter as needed
This job is for you if YOU:
genuinely love people and enjoy building relationships, not just transactions
believe in ethical, low-pressure sales - you sell because you believe in what we offer and you take real price in hitting (and exceeding) your goals with authenticity and integrity
are a natural organizer who likes systems, checklists and knowing where everything stands
are excited by the idea of helping build and refine our processes as we grow - bringing order to a growing, sometimes chaotic small business
see solutions before you see obstacles - and you just do it
are reliable - showing up consistently and on time is a non-negotiable for you
you can stay calm and steady even when things get a little chaotic - busy days don’t rattle you
are comfortable working with clients of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, including those managing injuries or chronic pain
this job is probably not for you if:
you’d rather stay behind the scenes than initiate conversations with clients
you need a highly structured, tell-me-exactly-what-to-do role - we want someone who helps create the structure
you’re looking for something short-term - we’re hoping to find someone who will grow with us for several years, with one year as a minimum
Qualifications
Comfortable with or excited to learn MindBodyOnline, Squarespace and Google Suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Prior sales or customer service experience preferred
Motivated by sales bonuses
Compensation & hours
$23/hour to start, DOE + sales bonuses + health care stipend after 3 months
Employee status, sick pay
Up to 30 hours/week (may be split between two people)
Opportunity to grow into a Studio Manager role
Free Pilates classes, space available, free continuing education for those interested in
