Experience Expert Pilates instruction IN SEATTLE
If you’re alive, you’re moving. Pilates makes the journey more joyful, by strengthening key core muscles that stabilize healthy posture. So you can ride the current that wants to carry you, while staying centered (and re-centered, and re-centered again) on your board.
Place your hands on your low belly. Inhale through your nose. Exhale through your mouth. As you lengthen your exhale with a “shhhh” sound, feel an inner corset of support giving your spine a gentle hug.
Good work - you look stronger already!

Definitely not, this is something we hear often. These are both things you work on in your Pilates practice - not something you need before you walk in the door. We’ve been working with clients of all ages, from their 20’s, 50’s, 70’s and even a couple in their 90’s. The beauty of private sessions and semi-private group classes is that everything can be customized for you!

It's one of the most common reasons people find us. What we see again and again is that chronic pain isn't just physical, but it changes how you move, how you hold yourself, and even how you think about your body. Pilates works at a deeper level. For over 20 years in Seattle, we've worked with people who'd been told surgery was their only option, people who'd assumed they would always be in pain or thought they would never look forward to exercise. We work closely with your doctor or physical therapist when needed, and develop your individual program..

Once a week is a great starting point and most clients notice a shift in their posture and energy within the first few sessions. Twice a week is where we see a faster shift and more strength building. For most people, we recommend 2-3 sessions per week - privates, classes or a combo - in order to really reap the maximum benefits of Pilates sessions. We are excited to offer our Accelerator Program for just that reason. Read more about it on our Accelerator Page.
Some clients choose to start with just once a week and still feel and see the benefits of the work. A lot depends on your current level of activity and schedule.

In a private session, your session is entirely one-on-one. All of our semi-private group classes are intentionally capped at 5 people, which means you're never just following along in a crowd. Many of our clients do both: private sessions to build a strong personal foundation, and small group classes to maintain and deepen their practice alongside others. Either way, each session is different and builds on what you’ve already done.

Done well, 100%! But maybe not in the way you expect. It's not about pushing through exhaustion or grinding it out. When it's working, you feel challenged and energized at the same time.
With Private sessions, it is always at the level you’re at, which sometimes change from one week to the next. In our semi-private classes, we have a variety of levels and styles - Essentials is more for those new to Pilates and Strength is for those looking for a tougher weigh bearing workout.

Yes, if you have a Letter of Medical Necessity from your Doctor before you pay for your first session. It can mean 20–40% less depending on your tax situation. Visit our HSA/FSA page for the details - linked in the footer.

For most people, the best first step is our 2-session intro offer. This is an opportunity for us to get to know your body, understand your history, and figure out together what you need. If you prefer a group format, then our Essential level classes are a great starting point.
“I love my Pilates teacher’s dedication to pushing us just past where we think we can take ourselves. She is knowledgeable about overall body movement, as well as the practice of Pilates. And she really tunes in to us – meeting us where we’re at, and customizing moves to suit personal injuries or limitations. All with a smile and sense of both humor and discipline.”
