What Beginner-Friendly Means at Studio Evolve

If you’ve never worked out before, you’re recovering from an injury or surgery, or you’re feeling nervous and intimidated…

At Studio Evolve, we serve people at all levels of fitness experience, from movement beginners to movement professionals.

And when we say beginners, we mean that we can meet you exactly where you’re at - yes, even if you’ve never worked out before, you’re recovering from an injury or surgery, or you’re feeling nervous and intimidated by the pace and intensity of typical exercise classes.

We get it - we’ve been to those other gyms and studios too. Where a class is described as beginner-friendly, but when you get there you find there isn’t enough actual support or attention for you.

It can feel stressful and discouraging! AND, if you try to keep up without individual guidance, it can lead to injuries.

That’s why, at Studio Evolve, we teach the humans who are in front of us. Another way of saying this is that we apply the modality to the person rather than the person to the modality.

The styles of Pilates and Gyrotonic we teach are highly adaptable, so if you find that a certain move hurts your body or you just can’t do it yet, your teacher will help you find a variation that works for you.

If you get tired easily and you’re worried you won’t be able to make it through an hour-long session, talk to your teacher - they’ll find ways for you to modify throughout class, and encourage you to honor your body by taking breaks as needed.

We encourage everyone to start with a 2 Private Session Intro Package.

You’ll have time to talk with your teacher about your history, your desires for your practice, and any concerns you have, and they will cater your private sessions specifically to your unique goals and needs.

Then, your teacher will recommend a custom weekly Pilates practice designed to truly work for your body and your life.

It could include one-on-one sessions and/or small group Reformer classes. And, your teacher will be happy to recommend specific classes that are appropriate for your experience level and needs.

We’d love to help you get started - click here to learn more and sign up!

P.S. Got questions? Need a teacher recommendation? Hit reply and ask away - one of our team members will be happy to help!
