How We Live Our Values

At Studio Evolve, one of our core values is Community - we strive to create a warm, interconnected community of students and team members that is welcoming to ALL.

We’ve been to other gyms and studios where the vibe felt exclusive. Like there was an in-group, and an out-group.

When we opened Studio Evolve, we knew we wanted it to feel open and welcoming to EVERYONE.

So if you’ve ever wondered whether you were young enough, fit enough, or COOL enough to join the fitness studio “in-group,” we built Studio Evolve for you.

We keep our Reformer classes small, so that our teachers have a chance to connect with each student.

This level of personal attention makes it easy to join in regardless of your level of experience - your teachers will always be prepared to offer exercise variations to meet your individual needs.

Our students often enjoy connecting with each other too - and are always excited to welcome someone new into class!

We are also committed to providing a supportive work environment for our teachers, so that they come to work well-resourced and ready to give their full attention to their students.

“Studio Evolve has been the single most supportive place I’ve ever worked,” says Studio Evolve Pilates teacher and SPRe Bodywork practitioner Kimmie.

“The culture at Studio Evolve is open, friendly, fun, professional, compassionate, inclusive, and body positive!”

Thank you for choosing to support a small, mission-driven business - we couldn’t do it without you.

P.S. New to Studio Evolve?

We’d love to invite you to join us!

We encourage new students to start with our 2 Private Sessions Intro Package.

Starting with a couple private sessions gives our team a chance to orient you to the studio and the equipment and to get to know you, so that if you choose to move on to Reformer classes, you’ll feel comfortable and supported.

OWNER; SPRE® EDUCATIONAL FOUNDER, PRACTITIONER TRAINER & PRACTITIONER, SHE/HER

Martine enjoys the diverse learning opportunities studio ownership has allowed her. She began her career in the field of movement and bodies as a Pilates Instructor in 1999. Soon after her original Pilates certification, Martine pursued numerous other certifications and sought to bring her client offerings and business acumen to one place in the founding of Studio Evolve, Pilates, Gyrotonic & SPRe® Bodywork.

Along her journey, Martine partnered with Jill Ableson for the development of the SPRe® Practitioner Training Program. Together they have brought the SPRe® Training Curriculum to its current evolution as a licensed Somatic Education Training Program and WA State Vocational Training School.

Working with Martine is both grounding and expansive. She enjoys the practice of energetically, verbally and somatically attuning with and guiding clients. Her use of SPRe® Bodywork, as well as her curiosity and engagement leads to delightful moments of clarity and greater physical comfort for her clients.

Martine feels an essential component to building a strong partnership with her client is a foundation of trust, openness and curiosity. This allows for the safe and supportive exploration of whatever difficult, confusing or conflicting emotional and somatic experiences arise in the journey they take together. Ready to take the first step? Martine is currently seeing SPRe® clients online and in person and looks forward to hearing from you.
