We just had the BEST conversation with Wade Madsen about why he loves teaching Gyrotonic at Studio Evolve. (By the way, we’re looking to hire another Gyrotonic Instructor!

Wade says that his movement training experience started in a 1960s jazz class at age 8 or 9.

In addition to Gyrotonic, he has practiced jazz, ballet, contemporary dance, yoga, martial arts, tai chi, Pilates, weight training, and physical therapy.

Yes - he brings a WEALTH of movement teaching experience and we’re so lucky to have him on the team!

What he loves about Gyrotonic in particular is the holistic approach that it offers to strength-training, and its focus on articulated mobility of the spine.

Plus, Gyrotonic sequencing is just FUN!

But his favorite thing about teaching movement? “Watching change happen.”

“Yes that includes meeting their goals in terms of achievement, but my hope is ALWAYS for them to feel something in their body.

“When a client can get information from their own body, that’s mind-blowing.

“When I get to see them feel how the whole system is connected, that is mind-blowing,” says Wade.

More and more of our Pilates clients at Studio Evolve are curious about Gyrotonic, a flowing, dance-like motion that promotes mobility throughout the joints, and compliments the strength and stability you build in Pilates extremely well.

And so, as our demand for Gyrotonic sessions grows, we’re looking to hire another Gyrotonic teacher!

If you’re fully trained in Gyrotonic, we have space for you to get started right away. Studio Evolve houses 2 Cobra Towers, 1 BB Tower, 1 LEU and plenty of stools and props to play with!

If you’re not trained yet but you’re interested in teaching Gyrotonic, hit “reply” and ask us about training opportunities! If you’re already a Pilates teacher, we can get you started with Pilates clients while you move through your training.
