How Marisha Helps Parents Reduce Back Pain and Maintain Pelvic Floor Health As They Age)

Even if they gave birth 30 years ago and haven’t exercised since…

Marisha Doan, the most recent addition to the Studio Evolve teaching team, is a pelvic floor expert. She loves helping folks who have given birth develop safe, fun, and time-efficient movement practices that keep them strong and healthy as they age.

Because whether you gave birth within the past year or your “baby” is now in their thirties, pregnancy, childbirth and parenting HAVE changed your body.

Our youth-focused culture tells us that that’s scary or bad - and that the path to beauty and health is to “get your body back.”

But the truth is, your body is always changing - and you don’t need to fight the natural aging process to build strength and stay active throughout parenthood and well into retirement.

Instead, the key is to develop a functional, adaptive movement practice that can change as your needs change, rather than trying to force your body to fit into a predetermined routine.

Marisha’s approach to pelvic floor health is gentle, restorative, and highly effective.

A pelvic floor-aware exercise routine can help:

  • Reduce and prevent low back pain and S.I. joint dysfunction

  • Heal diastasis recti

  • Reduce and prevent neck pain

  • Maintain sexual health and access to pleasure

  • Reduce or prevent incontinence

  • Avoid organ prolapse as you age

  • Support your hips, knees, and spine, so you can stay active and avoid injury

Whether you’re still navigating multiple nighttime feedings or you finished having kids decades ago, a functional movement practice with an expert Pilates teacher CAN help you build strength, reduce pain, and bring more energy to the rest of your life.

The best way to get started is with our 2 Private Sessions Intro Package.

P.S. Marisha is a mom of two who developed her approach to pelvic floor health while working to heal her own diastisis recti, S.I. joint instability, and childbirth-related pelvic floor issues.

She has since worked with many clients to build strength, reduce back pain, and develop functional movement practices that ACTUALLY FIT into their busy lives.

The best way to start working with her is to book a 2 Private Sessions Intro Package - click here to reserve yours now (before you get distracted by the ten thousand other things on your to-do list!)
